This profile is for you if dogs are your major leisure interest.
You will be able to enhance your knowledge of canine behaviour and will
also learn about canine care, grooming and training, as well the history
of dogs and their significance for humans.
We have recently opened a dog centre, or dog day care, in the suburb of Västberga in order to increase the opportunity for our students to have access to dogs during lessons, as well as to gain good insights into the functioning of dog day care. Read more under the heading “Dog centre”.
In addition to learning about dogs in school and at our dog day care, you will also have the opportunity during your ten-week training in the workplace to enjoy their companionship and to work with different types of dogs.
You will also learn about human psychology, which is essential knowledge
when working with dogs and their owners. The need for dog day care is increasing,
and you will take the course ”Entrepreneurship” to gain theoretical knowledge
in order to start your own company. You will have the opportunity to become
educated within a career in which you will be able to daily experience the joy of working with dogs.
