What are the needs of a cheetah, an elk or a tiger python? You will learn this and much more if you choose this profile.
You will study nutritional needs and theories - what animals eat and why, as well as how to arrange and enrich animal
environments to enable them to behave more naturally. You will also gain essential insights into care and breeding,
as modern animal parks are playing an important role in the preservation of endangered animals.
You will do at least ten weeks of practical training at various animal parks in Sweden or abroad. Your close contact and experiences with wild animals will provide you with memories for life.
In the course ”Animal presentation and guiding” you will receive valuable training in showing animals and talking in front of groups, which will be very beneficial for those who want a career as an animal care specialist at a animal park.
Taking the course “Pets” as an individual elective will allow you to become certified to
open a pet retail centre in accordance with the regulations of the Swedish Board of Agriculture
